Disinfectants
Depending on the assessed need, we apply our disinfectants across several formats, such as sprays, pre-treated wipes, and solutions for use in broad dispersion equipment. Harvard only uses EPA list N disinfectants to address the pandemic. Disinfectants present on list N have either proven efficacious against viruses similar to SARS-COV-2, or a pathogen that is harder to kill than SARS-COV-2 at the labeled dwell times.
Microfiber Cloths
Microfiber cloths demonstrate improved performance over traditional cloths. Microfiber cloths are more absorbent, clean effectively with only water or mild cleaners, and performance won’t degrade with multiple washes — meaning they remove more contaminants and are better for the work environment.
Misters and Sprayers
Misting and spraying equipment has been used in our industry for many years. Typically, these pieces of equipment are used to efficiently direct chemicals and disinfectants to surfaces. Harvard also uses misters and sprayers, always following the instructions provided by our chemical suppliers to ensure they deliver on performance.
Electrostatic Sprayers
Harvard also utilizes electrostatic disinfectant sprayers. This cutting-edge equipment ensures maximum surface coverage by using negatively charged ions so that the disinfectant droplets wrap around and cling to positively charged surfaces.
UV-C Cleaners
This equipment employs ultraviolet light to disinfect surfaces and remove germs without introducing more chemicals, water or moisture into the area. UV-C wavelengths are germicidal and, as such, they are capable of inactivating microorganisms like bacteria and viruses. This equipment is especially useful in clean room and healthcare environments, as well as other applications where totally dry disinfection is required.
